Dorothy comes as the new limited SSR Nikke with the new summer event. So, are you excited to test her as a Nikke beginner? There is high burst damage, better attacks, and better team-wide attack buffs coming out of her. So, for anyone who is getting their hands on this new SSR for the first time, here is our GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE Dorothy: Serendipity build guide, her skills, and everything you must know.

Dorothy: Serendipity is the newest addition to the GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE tier list, and she comes as a limited SSR Nikke from the Inherit squad. This new SSR is being introduced in the summer 2025 update for GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE BOOM! THE GHOST as a water-type variant of the original Dorothy, alongside Elegg: Boom and Shock.
As a Pilgrim Nikke, Dorothy wields a shotgun (SG) named Pinne. She is also a Burst III Nikke with a 40-second cooldown, and that makes Dorothy excel in dealing massive single-target and AoE damage, particularly against bosses with destructible parts. Her kit emphasizes piercing shots and ATK buffs, making her a versatile addition to water-focused teams or mixed compositions.
Dorothy: Serendipity is built for high burst damage, precise attacks, and strong teamwide buffs. Her shotgun-based skill set focuses on piercing through enemies and enhancing both her own output and the overall firepower of the squad.
So here's a look into each of her skills, how they work, and where to prioritize upgrades.

After firing 80 shotgun pellets, Dorothy gains Pierce for her next three attacks in this skill. These attacks also receive a 98.18% boost to Hit Rate, and she gains a 40% ATK increase for 5 seconds. This skill activates automatically during combat, triggered by her pellet-based weapon.
When entering Full Burst, GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE Dorothy: Serendipity deals 150% of her final ATK as Distributed Damage to enemies in a small area. And that is her Passive. If the enemy is a boss, it also suffers a 50% DEF reduction for 10 seconds.
Here, the active burst skill of Dorothy deals 800% of Dorothy's final ATK to a single target, with Pierce applied to the attack. All allies receive a 30% ATK boost for 10 seconds. If the target is already affected by Serendipitous Strike's DEF reduction, an extra 200% ATK is dealt as Distributed Damage to nearby enemies.
Choosing the right equipment for Dorothy: Serendipity is key to getting the most out of her damage potential and team buffs. From cube selection to Overload (OL) stats, here's how to gear her effectively across all stages of play.
|
Best Option |
Resilience Cube |
|
Why It Works |
Dorothy’s shotgun fires quickly but comes with a low ammo count—only 20 pellets by default. The Resilience Cube reduces reload time, helping her activate Flash more often and maintain steady damage |
|
Alternative |
Bastion Cube offers more ammo, but it may delay Flash activation, making it a less ideal pick overall |
|
ATK |
Boosts all her skills, especially her Burst (Pinne’s Embrace), and should be the top priority |
|
Max Ammo Capacity |
Adding 1–2 lines helps reduce reloads without delaying her pellet-based skill triggers |
|
Elemental Damage |
Increases her water-element damage, which is especially valuable in raid content with elemental advantages |
|
Hit Rate |
Supports better accuracy, especially when stacking with Flash for high-evasion enemies |
|
Avoid |
Critical Rate and Critical Damage. Shotguns rely on multiple pellets, which don’t scale well with crit stats |
|
Gear Type |
Use Pilgrim-exclusive Tier 9 gear for maximum synergy with her faction. Focus first on Overloading the Helmet and Gloves, as they boost ATK and enhance her key skills |
|
Early Game |
Equip Tier 7–8 Pilgrim gear. Focus on rolls that improve ATK and Max Ammo to stabilize her performance |
|
Mid Game |
Shift to Tier 9 gear. Look for ATK and Elemental Damage rolls, and level the gear up to 5 to unlock Overload potential |
|
Late Game |
Fully Overload Helmet and Gloves with ATK and Elemental Damage stats. One Max Ammo line on Arms or Legs is enough. Avoid overloading too much Max Ammo, as it may reduce how often Flash activates |
