Game Guides
The Sand Devil’s Necropolis is one of RAID: Shadow Legends’ most demanding dungeons. Its boss, Al-Naemeh, destroys MAX HP, punishes ordinary defensive buffs and takes heavily reduced damage while awake. Clearing the dungeon rewards Oils used to Ascend Artifacts and unlock additional stats.
The easiest 2026 strategies do not try to survive every attack normally. Instead, they use revival, fatal-hit protection or a carefully timed Sleep phase to attack Al-Naemeh when his defenses are weakest.

Mechanic |
What It Means |
|
Feasting Swarm |
Devastating AoE that ignores Shield, Block Damage, Unkillable and DEF |
|
Self-Sleep |
Al-Naemeh places Sleep on himself after Feasting Swarm |
|
Slumber Counter |
Damage taken while asleep reduces the counter |
|
Reduced Damage |
The boss takes much less skill damage while sleeping |
|
Debuff Interaction |
Debuffs reduce his protection during Sleep |
|
MAX HP Destruction |
Every boss attack destroys part of the team’s MAX HP |
Feasting Swarm is the main reason ordinary defensive teams fail. It ignores several common protection mechanics and then places Al-Naemeh under Sleep for two turns.
While asleep, Al-Naemeh receives a Slumber counter. The counter decreases when he takes damage, not simply when he is targeted. Once it expires, he wakes and gains Turn Meter, so unnecessary attacks can end your damage window early.
The boss also destroys 5% of each target’s MAX HP whenever he attacks. Healing champions are therefore important because healing a champion while Al-Naemeh sleeps can restore destroyed MAX HP.
The team shown in the referenced strategy uses Donatello to protect a reviver from the boss’s wipe attack. The other champions fall, Al-Naemeh puts himself to Sleep, and the protected champion revives the team for a controlled damage phase.

The full-team reviver should be placed in the leader position. Donatello’s protection must keep that champion alive when Feasting Swarm defeats the rest of the party.

Recommended Battle Order
Debuffs should be placed before your major attacks. Al-Naemeh has substantial damage reduction during Sleep, but each active debuff reduces part of that protection. Firing Gnut or Coldheart’s Enemy MAX HP skill before the debuffs are ready wastes much of the damage window.
Donatello provides much more than fatal-hit protection. His kit includes team healing, Increase SPD, cooldown reduction, debuff removal and Strengthen. His cooldown-reduction skill helps the reviver and damage dealers recover their important abilities before the next cycle.
Build Donatello for survival and consistency:

A Regeneration set is the safest option when available. Immortal pieces can add more HP and passive recovery. Do not sacrifice durability to build Critical Rate or Critical Damage; Donatello’s job is to remain alive and keep the rotation working.

Best DPS Options
Gnut
Gnut is one of the fastest Sand Devil damage dealers because Enemy MAX HP attacks can remove a large part of the boss’s health during the Sleep window. He works best after Decrease DEF and Weaken have been applied.

Ninja
Ninja is a strong HP Burn alternative. His Hailburn skill places and activates HP Burn against bosses, while his passive increases his damage during longer encounters. Stage 25 is Force affinity, however, so Ninja’s Magic affinity can cause weak hits and occasional inconsistency.

Coldheart
Coldheart is an accessible Void Rare with an Enemy MAX HP skill. She will usually be slower than a well-built Gnut team, but she remains a practical option for accounts without multiple top-tier Legendaries.

Godseeker Aniri Duo
Players without Donatello can use the classic Godseeker Aniri plus one DPS setup.

HP Burn damage dealer |
Godseeker allows the damage dealer to fall and then revives them with their important skills reset. The three remaining party slots can hold low-level food champions, making the dungeon useful for gaining XP while farming Oils.
This team requires tighter tuning than the Donatello revival composition. Godseeker needs enough HP, DEF and SPD to survive the required attacks and return to her revive before the next cycle. Regeneration plus Immortal is the standard survival setup.

Champion |
Preset Priority |
|
Full-team reviver |
Save revive until allies are defeated |
|
Debuffer |
Use Decrease DEF and Weaken while boss sleeps |
|
Gnut/Coldheart |
Use Enemy MAX HP skill after debuffs |
|
Ninja |
Prioritize Hailburn during damage phase |
|
Donatello |
Prioritize cooldown reduction and sustain |
Disable unnecessary multi-hit skills if they consume the Slumber counter without providing enough damage. Counterattack and ally-attack effects can also wake the boss earlier than planned.

Problem |
Fix |
|
Reviver dies in Feasting Swarm |
Put the reviver in the leader slot and check Donatello’s protection |
|
Boss wakes too early |
Reduce unnecessary attacks and counterattacks |
|
Damage is too low |
Apply debuffs before Enemy MAX HP skills |
|
Team fails on second cycle |
Increase survivability or improve cooldown timing |
|
Ninja run is inconsistent |
Force affinity can cause his Magic attacks to weak-hit |
|
Auto run uses revive too early |
Create a dedicated team preset |
The easiest current approach is Donatello + a full-team reviver + debuffer + two damage dealers. Let Feasting Swarm defeat the damage team, revive everyone while Al-Naemeh sleeps, apply debuffs and finish the boss during that window.
Godseeker Aniri remains the best compact alternative for players who want a two-champion farming team. Whichever setup you choose, focus on clean skill timing and survival before chasing faster completion times.
