Old Maid is an easy card game. This game is played with one regular deck of 52 cards,The player with Queen of Club starts the game by throwing away the Queen of Club. Starting with the player who discarded Queen of Club (let’s call him Leader) the play follows by each player discarding any pairs they have, and place them down on the table. When all the players have placed their pairs down on the table, play begins.
When the turn returns back to the Leader he/she picks up a card from hand of the next player sitting clockwise. This player checks to see if the card he selected can be paired up with any in his hand. If it can, the pair is placed face down on the table with the other pairs. The players continue around the circle until all cards have been paired and discarded. At the end of the game, the player holding the Queen card is the Old Maid and has lost the game.
