Българското Урологично Дружество (БУД) е създадено през 1960 г. по инициатива на катедрата по Урология. Председател на Дружеството 1960-1972 е Проф. Д-р Антон Червенаков. На заседания на дружеството са обсъждани въпроси от професионален и организационен характер свързани със състоянието на урологичната помощ в страната. По-късно започват да се обсъждат и научни доклади от различни области на урологията.През 1972 г. за председател на БУД е избран Проф. Д-р Иван Викторов, дмн.
През същата година Проф. Д-р Никола Атанасов, дмн и Проф. Д-р Антон Червенаков, дмн, заедно с Проф. Джорджо Равазини стават учредители на Европейската Асоциация по Урология в гр. Падуа, Италия.

The Bulgarian Association of Urology (BAU) was founded in 1960 on the initiative of the Department of Urology. The Chairman of the Society 1960-1972 was Prof. Dr. Anton Chervenakov. At meetings of the society, issues of a professional and organizational nature related to the state of urological care in the country were discussed. Later, scientific reports from various fields of urology also began to be discussed.

In the same year, Prof. Dr. Nikola Atanasov, dmn and Prof. Dr. Anton Chervenakov, dmn, together with Prof. Giorgio Ravazzini became the founders of the European Association of Urology in the city of Padua, Italy.
