Al-Mujam Al-Saghir is a book of the attributed Hadith books, compiled by Imam Abu Al-Qasim Suleiman bin Ahmed bin Ayyub Al-Tabarani, and arranged according to the method of dictionaries, meaning that he arranged it according to the order of the names of his sheikhs from whom he narrated the texts attributed to the letters of the dictionary. It contains 1198 isnaad texts, which include free hadiths and more.Al-Tabarani’s Al-Sagheer Al-Mu’jam Al-Saghir is one of the books that took care of mentioning strange hadiths, and explaining the strangeness in them. The difference between the two dictionaries: small and middle; Al-Tabarani mentioned one hadith in al-Saghir in most cases, or two hadiths in the rare case, for each of his sheikhs. As for the middle one, he mentioned all the narrations he heard for each of his sheikhs.
