Why are these wallpapers locked?
1. Favourites
Using google sign-in, the wallpapers are synced across devices, and the favourites are saved on the cloud, which results in them being cached even if your app gets uninstalled.
2. Piracy
As modded apps cannot use Google sign-in, it greatly
improves the overall defense the app has against
piracy. Pirates cannot download our wallpapers, and
not use them.
But this means we are selling your data?
We don't ask Google for any scope other than email, and username. So we don't get any user info that is not public, and hence we actually cannot sell your data, as everything is already public. We also don't use Google Analytics, or any other analytics service, as it greatly mismatches our idea of privacy. We only store the in app content (favourites, wallpapers, etc.) on our server, and everything else is not stored. Your user identity is always anonymous and cannot be linked back to you in any way, shape or form.
