Girls' Frontline PC Client Version Announced: Scheduled for 2025 Release

Sunborn Network has officially announced via Weibo and Bilibili that a PC client version of Girls' Frontline is in development, sparking renewed excitement among fans.

Originally launched in Korea in 2017, Girls' Frontline earned praise for its stunning illustrations, SD design, and engaging tactical gameplay, solidifying its place in the gaming market, which also has led to a sequel, Girls' Frontline 2.

Despite its success, the game has faced persistent optimization challenges, particularly on Android devices. Efforts were made to improve client performance starting with the 3.0 update in 2022, but issues continued. The service in China faced additional setbacks when Sunborn Network’s contract with Chengdu Digital Sky ended on December 31, 2024, resulting in a temporary service suspension in the region.

PD Woo-Joong reassured fans that this interruption is limited to China due to licensing issues, with overseas services continuing unaffected.

To address player concerns, Sunborn Network announced the development of the PC client version, set to launch on Chinese servers in 2025. The timeline for an international release is yet to be determined, but further updates will be shared via the official channels.
