Zhuang Fangyi is the headlining Operator of Arknights: Endfield Version 1.2, available on the Thunder of Renewal banner from April 17 to May 22, 2026. As a 6-star Electric Striker, she is the game’s first dedicated Electric hypercarry, built around a blade-summoning mechanic that scales with the Electrification loop maintained by your team. This guide covers everything you need to know: her confirmed kit, how the Electrification loop works, her signature weapon Lone Barge, best team compositions, and whether she’s worth pulling.
Zhuang Fangyi holds two titles in the world of Talos-II. She is the Viceroy of the Wuling Scientific Developmental District and a Tianshi of the Hongshan Academy of Sciences, where she leads the Novel Xiranite Materials Project. The combination of administrative authority and high-level research expertise makes her one of the most prominent figures the Endministrator encounters throughout Wuling.

Rarity: 6-star | Class: Striker| Weapon: Arts Unit | Element: Electric
Twenty years before the game begins, she worked alongside the Endministrator as a junior Tianshi apprentice. After a disaster that wiped out most of the Wuling Science Station’s personnel, she was appointed Viceroy and spent the following decade building Wuling into a functioning city.
Zhuang Fangyi’s damage output runs on two distinct statuses: Electric Infliction (a stackable debuff that multiple Operators can apply) and Electrification (a stronger charged state converted from Infliction and detonated for damage). Her Combo Skill handles the conversion and her Battle Skill handles the detonation. Her Ultimate makes the whole loop self-sustaining for its duration.
Basic Attack: Jolting Arts
Zhuang Fangyi’s basic attack is a five-hit sequence. The Finisher deals massive Electric damage and restores some SP, so it’s generally worth finishing the full combo.
Battle Skill: Mantra of Sundering
The Battle Skill consumes the target’s Electrification and creates Sunderblades on the field based on the level consumed:
It then fires all active Sunderblades at the target in a series of Thunder Strikes. Sunderblades have a duration and cap at 9 on the field at once, so stacking them before a large pull of enemies pays off.

Combo Skill: Breath of Transformation (Xiranblitz Array)
Trigger: The Combo Skill fires automatically when the controlled Operator lands a Final Strike or Finisher on an enemy with active Electric Infliction stacks.
When it triggers, it consumes those stacks and converts them into Electrification based on how many were used:
That Level 2 Electrification then feeds into the next Battle Skill cast for the maximum 3 Sunderblades. The Combo Skill has a cooldown of approximately 15 seconds, which is why she still needs teammates to keep Infliction on enemies between rotations.

Ultimate: Smiting Tempest (Empyrean of Truth State)
Activating the Ultimate puts Zhuang Fangyi into the Empyrean of Truth state and upgrades both active skills. The Battle Skill’s range increases and applies Electric Infliction on its final hit. The Combo Skill becomes an AoE ability with its cooldown recovery speed increased to four times normal. The first Battle Skill cast after entering the state is free (no SP cost and no Electrification required) and is guaranteed to summon 3 Sunderblades. Zhuang Fangyi also gains increased interruption resistance throughout the state.

During her Ultimate, Battle Skill applies Infliction, the Combo Skill converts it to Level 2 Electrification, and the next Battle Skill detonates for maximum blades — a self-sustaining cycle that runs with minimal dependence on teammates.
To get the most out of Zhuang Fangyi, the goal is to stack Sunderblades efficiently and enter the Ultimate with Electrification already prepared.
1. Setup: Have teammates build 2 stacks of Electric Infliction on the target.
2. Conversion: Complete a basic attack chain so the Finisher triggers the Combo Skill, converting Infliction into Level 2 Electrification.
3. Detonation: Fire the Battle Skill to detonate for 3 Sunderblades and a full Thunder Strike sequence.
4. Stacking: Repeat until Sunderblades approach the 9-blade cap.
5. Burst: Activate the Ultimate, open with the guaranteed free Battle Skill cast, then run the self-sustaining Battle Skill/ Combo loop until the state ends.
Outside the Ultimate, the cycle depends on teammate-supplied Infliction. Inside it, Zhuang Fangyi generates her own.
Lone Barge is an Arts Unit weapon with primary stats in Will, ATK, and Suppression. Its passive, Streaming Blitz, provides a baseline increase to Electric DMG. Each time the Battle Skill consumes Electrification to trigger an Arts Reaction, it gains a stacking Electric DMG bonus for a short duration up to a set limit, allowing the weapon to build up damage quickly in a fight.
Using the Ultimate adds a separate boost to Battle Skill Electric DMG that does not stack but activates once per Ultimate window, lining up naturally with each burst phase. Since an optimal rotation consistently consumes Electrification, the stacking bonus is easy to maintain throughout most fights.

Zhuang Fangyi is the first 6-star Electric carry in Arknights: Endfield and the natural anchor of Electric-focused teams. Her main limitation outside the Ultimate window is that approximately 15-second Combo Skill cooldown, which means teammates need to keep Electric Infliction on enemies to maintain the loop.

Support Role |
Purpose |
Potential Operator Examples |
|---|---|---|
|
Electric Enabler |
Primary source of Electric Infliction between Combo Skill casts. Near-mandatory. |
Perlica |
|
SP Battery |
Provides SP generation to accelerate Ultimate uptime, and keep Infliction on enemies to sustain the loop. |
Arclight |
|
Arts Support/ Sustain |
Premium Arts support. Nature Infliction adds Electrification stacks, plus she covers healing for the team. |
Gilberta |
|
Flex |
Antal for Electric buffs; Tangtang as sub-DPS (with Brigand’s Calling); Avywenna for extra Electric coverage. |
Antal/ Tangtang/ Avywenna |
The premium lineup of Zhuang Fangyi, Perlica, Arclight, and Gilberta covers everything: Infliction uptime, SP, damage support, and sustain. Swapping Gilberta for Antal pushes the damage ceiling higher but leaves the team without a healer, which matters in longer fights.

Zhuang Fangyi is finally here, and she lives up to the wait. The Sunderblade loop takes a bit of practice to run cleanly, but once it clicks, her burst windows hit hard enough to carry most content on their own. If Electric is your team of choice, Version 1.2 is the time to go all in.
