Blue Archive Konoka Build Guide: Skills, Gear, Best Teams & Should You Pull?

pp-jone
|2026-07-22

Konoka is a 3-star Front-position Striker Tank from Valkyrie Police Academy. She uses a Shotgun, deals Mystic damage, and has Light Armor. Her kit revolves around a low-cost EX Skill that lets her recover HP whenever she is hit, while her Normal Skill adds self-healing and a single-target Taunt. She is especially effective in battles where enemies attack frequently enough to trigger her healing effect many times.

EX Skill: Does This Count As Self-Defense?

EX Skill

Konoka’s EX Skill costs 3 and deals damage to every enemy within a fan-shaped area. At Level 5, it deals 703% of her ATK.

After the attack, Konoka gains a healing-when-hit effect. Every time she takes damage, she recovers HP equal to 34.2% of her HEAL stat, with the effect activating up to 35 times during that EX window.

This is the center of her build. Konoka does not simply activate one large heal and wait for another skill cycle. She turns repeated enemy attacks into repeated recovery, allowing her to sustain herself while holding the front line.

The 3-cost EX also fits naturally into short rotations. You can activate it before a dangerous enemy sequence without spending most of the team’s available Cost.

Normal Skill: Isn’t That Satisfying?

Normal Skill

Every 30 seconds, Konoka attacks one enemy, inflicts Taunt, and restores her own HP.

At Level 10, the skill:

Deals 254% of ATK as damage.

Inflicts Taunt for 1.7 seconds.

Restores 147% of HEAL as HP.

Taunt forces the affected enemy to attack Konoka and can interrupt an active skill. This gives the Normal Skill both defensive and control value, particularly in Tactical Challenge, where interrupting an enemy skill can change the result of a fight.

Passive Skill: That’s a Lifesaver!

Passive Skill

Konoka’s Passive Skill increases REC by 26.6% at Level 10. REC raises the amount of healing she receives, strengthening both her own recovery and healing supplied by teammates.

The effect supports her entire tanking loop, although it does not change how often the EX healing activates. Upgrade EX and Sub first, then invest further into the Passive when you need more sustain.

Sub Skill: Go Ahead, Try It If You Dare!

Sub Skill

While Konoka’s EX Skill is active, her Sub Skill increases her ATK and DEF. At Level 10, both stats increase by 24.9%.

The more important effect activates after her healing-when-hit effect triggers 25 times during one EX window. Once that condition is reached, the Cost of her next EX Skill is reduced by 2 for one use. Since her EX normally costs 3, the next activation costs only 1.

At Sub Skill Levels 1–9, the reduction is only 1 Cost. Level 10 therefore provides an important breakpoint, making the Sub Skill one of Konoka’s highest-value upgrades.

Best Skill Upgrade Order

A practical upgrade order is:

EX Skill to Level 5

Sub Skill to Level 10

Normal Skill to Level 7 or 10

Passive Skill to Level 7 or 10

The EX upgrade increases both the fan-shaped damage and healing per hit. The Sub Skill should reach Level 10 because that is where the next-EX discount improves from 1 Cost to 2.

The Normal Skill is valuable for its healing and Taunt duration, while the Passive provides a straightforward recovery increase. Players mainly using Konoka in difficult PvP should eventually invest in all four skills.

Best Gear for Konoka

Konoka equips Shoes, Bag, and Charm.

Equipment

Priority

Main Value

Bag

Bag

1

Core defensive equipment

Shoes

Shoes

2

Charm

Charm

3

Improves resistance to critical and control effects

Bag

The Bag should be the first equipment slot you upgrade. Konoka is a front-line tank with a DEF-based Sub Skill buff, so improving her defensive foundation directly supports her role.

Her EX can restore large amounts of HP over repeated hits, but she still needs enough durability to survive each hit before that recovery matters.

Shoes

Shoes are the second priority. They contribute to Konoka’s overall HP while also supporting the damage portion of her EX and Normal Skill.

Her personal damage is not the main reason to deploy her, so Shoes should not be upgraded ahead of the Bag when resources are limited.

Charm

The Charm supports stability against enemy critical hits and crowd-control effects. It becomes more important in Tactical Challenge and content where Konoka is repeatedly exposed to enemy control.

For general progression, upgrade Bag first, then Shoes, followed by Charm.

Unique Weapon: Tool

Unique Weapon: Tool

Konoka’s Unique Weapon is called Tool. It provides ATK, HP, and HEAL, directly supporting her damage, durability, and self-recovery.

Upgrade

Effect

UE1

Adds ATK, HP, and HEAL

UE2

Upgrades Passive Skill and adds flat HP

UE3

UE4

Adds 10% Mystic Effectiveness

At UE2, That’s a Lifesaver! becomes That’s a Lifesaver!+. At maximum skill level, it adds 9,069 HP while retaining the 26.6% REC increase. This is Konoka’s most important Unique Weapon upgrade because it directly improves her tanking capacity.

UE3 is mainly valuable for serious Urban content, while UE4’s Mystic Effectiveness is more offensive and less important than UE2’s HP increase for her primary tank role.

Best Teams for Konoka

Konoka works best as the front-line anchor of a team rather than as the main damage dealer. She wants allies that can exploit the time created by her healing, Taunt, and low-cost EX rotation.

This setup uses multiple durable front-line students while leaving the damage and healing roles to the remaining slots. Konoka supplies Light Armor tanking, self-recovery, and Taunt utility. Game8 also lists Eimi and Hoshino as alternative durable tanks for similar PvP roles.

PvP formations change with the map, season, and popular enemy attack types, so Konoka’s main purpose is to provide a strong Light Armor tank option rather than lock every account into one permanent lineup.

Special 2

Konoka’s Mystic attack type does not mean the entire team must use Mystic damage. In most PvE content, choose your attackers according to the enemies’ armor type and use Konoka mainly for survival.

A healer remains useful even though she can recover herself. Her Passive increases healing received, so outside healing works well with her own sustain rather than replacing it.

High-Frequency Attack Encounters

Konoka performs best when enemies use repeated attacks or multi-hit patterns. More incoming hits mean more EX healing triggers, and reaching 25 activations enables her 1-cost follow-up EX at Sub Skill Level 10.

Against enemies that attack slowly with a small number of heavy hits, the cost-reduction mechanic is harder to activate. In those encounters, her Normal Skill healing and raw defensive investment become more important.

Should You Pull Konoka?

Konoka is a strong pull for players focused on Tactical Challenge. Her kit combines several useful PvP tools: self-healing, Taunt, high DEF during her EX window, and a potential 1-cost follow-up EX. Current Japanese evaluations place Tactical Challenge as her strongest area.

She is also worth considering when your account needs a durable Light Armor tank with reliable personal recovery.

However, Konoka is a permanent student rather than a limited unit. Her original Japanese pickup ran from March 18 to April 1, 2026, after which she remained available through regular recruitment. Players who do not prioritize PvP can skip her pickup and still obtain her later from another banner.

Pull Konoka if:

You actively compete in Tactical Challenge.

You need a strong Light Armor front-line tank.

You want a tank with self-healing and Taunt.

Your teams benefit from a low-cost defensive EX.

Skip the pickup if:

Tactical Challenge is not a major priority.

You already own several invested tanks.

You are saving Pyroxene for limited students.

You are comfortable obtaining her later as an off-banner permanent student.

Final Verdict

Konoka is a self-sustaining Mystic Tank whose value comes from more than raw HP. Her 3-cost EX turns incoming attacks into healing, her Normal Skill combines Taunt with another self-heal, and her Sub Skill can reduce her next EX to 1 Cost after enough healing triggers.

Build her by prioritizing EX and Sub Skill, upgrade her Bag before Shoes and Charm, and aim for UE2 when you need a major durability increase. She is particularly valuable in Tactical Challenge and high-frequency attack encounters, but her permanent status makes her an optional rather than mandatory pickup for players focused mainly on PvE.
