Game Guides
Rena is a 3-star Striker Supporter from Wild Hunt Academy of Arts. Although she occupies a Striker slot, most of her offensive support is designed for Special students. Her 3-cost EX Skill increases the ATK and CRIT DMG of every Special ally, while her Sub Skill provides another permanent CRIT DMG increase to herself and all Special allies.
This makes Rena a specialized support for teams where one or both Special students contribute meaningful damage. She also brings debuff removal, a DEF buff, periodic healing and strong self-sustain.

EX Skill: I’ll Unravel This Mystery!

Rena’s EX Skill costs 3 and targets one ally other than herself. It removes one debuff from that ally and increases the target’s DEF for 18 seconds. At the same time, every Special ally receives an ATK and CRIT DMG buff for 18 seconds.
At EX Level 5, the selected ally gains 11.9% DEF, while all Special allies gain 39.5% ATK and 34.8% CRIT DMG.
The targeted Striker does not receive the ATK or CRIT DMG buffs unless that student is also categorized as a Special ally, which normally is not possible because Rena selects an on-field ally. The selected ally receives the cleanse and DEF increase; the Special slots receive the offensive buffs.
This distinction is important. Rena is not a direct replacement for supports that buff a conventional Striker carry. Her strongest value appears when the team’s Special students are responsible for a significant share of the damage.
The cleanse also gives her a second role in stages that apply removable debuffs. Since it only removes one debuff from one ally, it should be timed around the effect that matters most.
Normal Skill: Made Just For You!

Every 30 seconds, Rena heals the lowest-HP ally other than herself and also restores her own HP.
At Level 10, the selected ally recovers 89.1% of Rena’s HEAL, while Rena restores 120% of her HEAL to herself.
This is useful supplementary healing, especially because Rena’s EX does not consume a Special slot. However, the Normal Skill is single-target and activates on a fixed 30-second cycle, so it should not automatically be treated as a complete replacement for a dedicated healer in stages with heavy party-wide damage.
Passive Skill: I’m Not Scared At All!

Rena’s Passive Skill increases her maximum HP by 26.6% at Level 10.
Rena stands in the Middle position and needs to remain alive to maintain her permanent Sub Skill aura and continue using her EX. More HP therefore improves the consistency of her support, but it does not directly strengthen the Special damage buffs before UE2.
Sub Skill: You’re Not Scared Either, Right!?

Rena’s Sub Skill permanently increases CRIT DMG for herself and every Special ally. At Level 10, it provides 30.6% CRIT DMG.
This effect is always active while Rena remains in the team. Combined with her EX, a Special attacker can receive:
|
Source |
Special Ally Buff |
|
EX Skill Lv.5 |
ATK +39.5% and CRIT DMG +34.8% for 18 seconds |
|
Sub Skill Lv.10 |
CRIT DMG +30.6% permanently |
The Sub Skill is one of the main reasons to use Rena. It does not require Cost, targeting or a specific rotation.
The recommended order is:
EX Skill to Level 5
Sub Skill to Level 10
Normal Skill to Level 7 or 10
Passive Skill to Level 7 or 10

Necklace
The Necklace is Rena’s most relevant equipment slot because her Normal Skill scales with HEAL. Improving the Necklace raises both the healing given to the lowest-HP ally and the healing Rena receives herself.
Hairpin
Hairpin is the second priority. Rena’s support disappears if she is defeated, so additional HP helps her remain on the field through longer fights.
Shoes
Shoes improve Rena’s personal stats, but her own damage is not the main reason to deploy her. Upgrade Shoes after her Necklace and Hairpin unless the account has enough equipment materials to raise all three slots.
Best Teams for Rena
Rena works best with Special attackers, since her EX increases the ATK and CRIT DMG of all Special allies, while her Sub Skill provides an additional permanent CRIT DMG buff.

The basic rule is simple: use one tank, Rena, one Striker healer or support, one debuffer, and one or two Special attackers matching the enemy’s armor.

Should You Pull Rena?
Rena is valuable for accounts that actively use Special damage dealers. Her 3-cost EX provides a large ATK and CRIT DMG window, her Sub Skill adds permanent CRIT DMG, and she also contributes cleansing and periodic healing. The linked performance review specifically evaluates her as a build and pull option through the lens of common high-difficulty compositions.
She is not a universal support for every team. If most of your strongest attackers are Strikers and your Special slots are normally occupied by pure supports, Rena’s main buffs will have limited impact.
Rena is also categorized as an unlimited student rather than a limited one, so she can remain available through the regular recruitment pool after her pickup.
Pull Rena if:
You own and regularly use strong Special attackers.
You want to build dual-Special-DPS teams.
You need a Striker support who provides cleanse and secondary healing.
You are preparing for content where Special students carry the damage.
Skip or delay if:
Your main carries are almost entirely Strikers.
Your Special slots are normally used only for healing or Cost support.
You lack a developed Special attacker to receive her buffs.
You are saving for limited or anniversary students.

Rena is a specialized but powerful Special-DPS enabler. Her EX provides a 3-cost cleanse, DEF increase and strong ATK/CRIT DMG buffs for all Special allies, while her Sub Skill adds permanent CRIT DMG support.
Prioritize EX > Sub > Normal > Passive, upgrade Necklace > Hairpin > Shoes, and consider UE2 when you want better buff uptime and personal durability. She is a strong investment for Special-centered accounts, but players who rely mainly on Striker carries can safely treat her as an optional permanent student rather than a mandatory pull.
