The weapon system in Duet Night Abyss is primarily divided into two major categories:
Melee Weapons: Such as polearm, whipsword, greatsword, sword, katana and dual blades, suitable for close-quarters combat.
Ranged Weapons: Such as shotgun, assault rifle, dual pistols, bow, pistol and grenade launcher, used for ranged engagement and assault.
Understanding how these systems connect with your combat style is essential — you can learn more in our Duet Night Abyss Combat System overview.
Weapons can be acquired through various methods, including:

Weapon forging is primarily conducted at the Forge. The process is straightforward: invest the corresponding Weapon Blueprint, Demon Wedge, Coins, and Ascension Materials in the forging interface to complete the weapon forging. For subsequent enhancements, you can embed Demon Wedges by dragging them into the weapon's slots via the "Remodel" interface in the weapon menu.
Once you’ve crafted powerful weapons, don’t forget to check our Duet Night Abyss Tier List to see which characters and builds benefit the most from your gear.
- Weapon Blueprints: Have a chance to drop from defeating Elite enemies, or can be obtained by completing side quests, exchanging Coins, or unlocking with Crimson Tear Drops.
- Coins: Mainly used to exchange for blueprints or enhance weapons, obtainable through Recon instances.
- Ascension Materials: Used to increase weapon level. Weapons of different rarities require corresponding rarity materials. Obtained by challenging Story instances or Elite instances. Higher difficulty instances yield better quality materials.
- Crimson Tear Drops: Used to unlock high-level weapon blueprints. Require completing Escort missions to obtain rewards.
- Demon Wedges: Divided into Character-type and Weapon-type. Mainly obtained through Banishment instances.
When forging weapons, it is strongly recommended that players prioritize collecting the rarest materials (e.g., items with a drop rate of only 1.72%) before starting the forging process. Otherwise, interrupting the forging process due to a shortage of rare materials will waste a significant amount of commonly invested materials, Stamina, and time.
The stat attributes on Demon Wedges are key to influencing weapon combat power. Prioritize stats that highly match the character's role.
- Melee Characters: Prioritize stats like "Physical Damage," "Crit Rate," and "Attack Speed" to enhance melee burst and sustained output.
- Ranged Characters: Prioritize stats like "Elemental Damage," "Range," and "Pierce Rate" to improve ranged engagement and shield-breaking efficiency.
- Besides: Such as "Crit Damage" and "Cooldown Reduction," can be flexibly matched according to specific combat styles and attribute needs.
Demon Wedges have a Tolerance cap, limiting the number of Demon Wedges a character or weapon can equip. Using a "Transfer Module" to adjust a Demon Wedge's affinity will significantly reduce its Tolerance cost (e.g., from 14 points to 7 points). Additionally, leveling up your weapons is the primary method to increase your overall Tolerance cap. This operation is divided into Character and Weapon types. Use with extreme caution and confirm your selections. Cancel promptly if misused to avoid unnecessary consumption.
Understanding how the weapon system works is the first step toward mastering Duet Night Abyss. Once you know how to forge, upgrade, and enhance weapons with Demon Wedges, every battle becomes a chance to test your strategy and creativity. Keep refining your gear, experiment with different builds, and you’ll soon find the setup that feels uniquely yours across the world of Atlasia.
