New Mechanic
Special Champion Unlock System
Set 16 introduces a new way to obtain exclusive champions:
- At the start of each game, you'll receive unique missions that unlock and add special champions to your shop pool.
- Your first shop refresh always guarantees one of these new champions.
- Finishing Top 4 with a special champion provides extra unlock rewards.
This system lets you progress and expand your roster across games, rewarding smart planning and consistent performance.
New champions and new champion purchase system
Set 16 adds powerful new units such as Zaahen, Yunara, and other high-cost champions — including the game’s first 7-cost units.
There's also a new Bonded Champion mechanic:
- Buying a certain champion automatically grants its linked partner.
- For example:
- Buy Kobuko, get Yuumi.
- Buy Lucian, get Senna.
This introduces fresh team-building options and higher power spikes at every stage.

7 Cost Characters
New characters have been added, each of which can only be obtained by unlocking missions and comes with up to 7 costumes, but also comes with high-level abilities.

Upgrade Stardust to 1199: Summon a black hole at the epicenter, instantly killing enemies within. Unit Unlock: Place 5 Targon units on the field. |

Passive: Immune to Crowd Control effects. Attacks deal damage in a line on target. If no enemies are in range, dash to the next one and knock up adjacent enemies on arrival. While in the Void Rift, erupt a tentacle below a random enemy every 3 / 3 / 0.25 seconds that knocks them up for 1.5 seconds. Active: Slam and erect spikes in a 2 hex circle, dealing 280/420/20500 physical damage to enemies hit. Then over 3 seconds, spit 10 globs of acid that deal 280/420/20500 physical damage. Unit Unlock: Level up to 10 and have 7 Void race units on the field. |

Passive: Immune to crowd control effects. Attacks briefly knock up the target and deal 50% damage in a 1 hex radius around them. Active: Slams the ground, dealing 190/272/1630 physical damage to all enemies, reducing damage by 15% for each cell from the center (minimum 40%). If this is the first enemy hit in this combat, knock them up for up to 1.75 seconds and rain down 12/12/99 rocks across the battlefield, each dealing 270/405/700 physical damage to enemies hit. Unlock Unit: Collect all 500 Ixtal Clues. |

Release a runic blast, dealing 300/450/1500 magic damage. It splits in two, dealing 33% of the damage to the closest two enemies. Each secondary blast splits an additional time. Bilgewater: The bomb will explode on impact, dealing 20% of the damage dealt to adjacent enemies as physical damage. Demacia: Kills a target with less than 0.23 health (ArmorMR). Freljord: Inflicts Chill on the target for 4 seconds and deals bonus true damage of 55/99/178 (HP). Ionia: The bomb will split into two additional parts. Ixtal: Gain a random Region effect at the start of battle and every 10 seconds. Noxus: The bomb will pierce through the target, dealing 60% reduced damage per enemy hit. Piltover: Every third cast of the skill deals 50% more damage. Shadow Isles: Increases explosion damage by 0.06. Shurima: Makes enemies float for 1 second, has a chance to drop gold or treasure. Targon: Heals the ally with the lowest HP for 10% of the damage dealt. Void: Ignores 30% of enemy armor and magic resistance. Yordle: Shrinks the target hit, reducing damage taken by 12% for 4 seconds. Fence: Poisons the target, dealing 20/30/500 magic damage 4/4/8 times over 4 seconds. Unit Unlock: Level 8 Open 4 races' features on the field. |

Cast one of these three spells: Cataclysm: Leaps to a nearby enemy, dealing 120/180/1000 magic damage to all enemies within 2 cells and stunning them for 1.5/1.75/30 seconds. Demacian Justice: Deals 700/1050/99999 magic damage to the target. If the enemy is below 15% health, cast that spell. Final Spark: Gain a 400/450/800 shield for 2 seconds, dealing 360/540/1000 magic damage to all enemies in an alignment. Unit Unlock: Sell a 2-star Jarvan, 2-star Garen, or 2-star Lux. |

Dash around the target and slash in a circle, dealing 90/135/1700 physical damage to the target and 90/135/1700 physical damage to all adjacent enemies. If the target does not die, the skill will be recast immediately. If this skill is cast 25 times in a row, it will slash the target instead, instantly killing them and dealing 90/135/1700 physical damage to all enemies within 3 cells. Unit Unlock: Obtain Xin Zhao's Augment and 3-star Xin Zhao, then use it 5 times in battle. |

When casting a skill, switch to one of the following abilities: Slash in a straight line, dealing 135/230/2500 physical damage to enemies hit and reducing their armor by 20% for 4 seconds. Slams in a cone, dealing 135/230/2500 physical damage to enemies hit and knocking them up for 1 second. Slams a target, dealing 135/230/2500 physical damage in a 1-cell area. Targets with less than 15% health are instantly killed. Unit Unlock: Level 8 and have a champion with 40% lifesteal. |

Set the entire battlefield on fire for the duration of the fight, inflicting wounds that deal 1500/2250/8000 magic damage to enemies for 45 seconds. Annie's maximum mana is reduced to 150 for the duration of combat. Her next cast unleashes a fireball on the target, dealing 240/360/3000 magic damage. Burn: Deals true damage based on a percentage of the target's maximum health every second. Wound: Reduces the rate at which health is regenerated by 33%. |

Passive: After Azir's 3rd attack, the Sand Soldier deals 100/150/3000 magic damage to the target. Active: Summons a Sand Soldier near a target and orders it to attack. If a Soldier is already summoned by the skill, all Soldiers deal 70/105/1500 magic damage instead. |

Teleports to the largest group of enemies, stunning them for 1.75/1.75/99 seconds, costing 20 mana per second. While casting, deals 95/140/6666 magic damage per second to all enemies within 2 cells. The 2 closest enemies take 33% increased damage. |

Passive: Third attack deals 247/371/5850 magic damage in a circle around the target. Active: Charge to the largest group of units and awaken all allies within 2 cells, granting them a 500/600/2000 shield for 4 seconds. Then, dash down, dealing 260/439/3250 bonus magic damage to all enemies within 2 cells. Unit Unlock: When you have a Demacia Champion with a total of 12 stars. |

Dash, then create a 2-cell radius area for 2.5/2.5/99 seconds, preventing allies within the area from dying. While active, doubles your attack speed and, on attack, fires a secondary arrow at nearby enemies, dealing 25/38/999 physical damage. When the area ends, heal all allies for 800% of the damage dealt while the area is in it, then dash forward. |

Fires 12/12/42 bullets at a target. Each bullet explodes on the first enemy hit, dealing 98/147/900 physical damage to all nearby enemies. If an enemy is affected by Black Mist, it is immediately purified, reducing their armor by the amount affected. Second ability Fires a large beam at the furthest enemy. Flame Breath: Breathes fire in a cone for 3.5 seconds, dealing 170/255/13579 physical damage per second to enemies hit. |

Passive: Attacks fire a 4-shot burst. Active: Gains a 28300/50800/157386 shield and starts costing 33 mana per second. While channeling, fires a laser that deals 145/215/2150 physical damage, reduced by 15% per hit, up to a maximum of 45%. Swallows a target for 2.5 seconds, dealing 900/1400/30000 magic damage and making them immune to damage from other sources for the duration, gaining 30% durability. If the swallowed champion resists CC, deals 600/900/20000 magic damage instead. If a champion dies while being consumed, spit out a random item fragment, or a unit's worth of gold. If no preconditions are met, it will spit to the furthest enemy, briefly stunning them on impact. Unit Unlock: Use 500 Bilgewater Silver Serpents. |

Passive: Every second, deal 31/46/401 magic damage to all enemies within 2 cells. Restore 40% of the damage dealt by this effect as health. Active: Creates a prison wall in a 2-cell radius for 5/5/60 seconds. While active, the passive's damage is doubled. When enemies touch the wall, they take 100/150/4000 magic damage. If there are less than 2 enemies in the box, they will be pulled closer instead. Unit Unlock: Collect 175 Shadow Isles Souls. |

Passive: Attacks are replaced with a bouncing bomb that deals 30/45/500 magic damage to units hit. Active: Throws a massive bomb at the largest group of enemies 4 cells away that explodes on impact, dealing between 70/105/3000 and 550/825/7000 magic damage to enemies hit based on their distance from the center. Unit Unlock: Level 9, have a Yordle or Sonnite, and 3 items. |

Throws a time bomb at the nearest enemy unit that doesn't have a time bomb. The time bomb deals 75/115/1000 magic damage per second. When the target dies, it detonates, dealing 150/225/4000 magic damage in a 1 hex and restoring 15 mana to Zilean. If a time bomb is inflicted on an enemy for 18/16/1 second and Zilean is alive, the enemy is instantly killed. |
4 Cost Characters

For the next 4 seconds, gain 7500%/7500%/30000% increased attack speed, unlimited range, and instead of laser attacks, lasers deal 85/130/450 physical damage in a line, reduced by 70/70/30% for each enemy they pass through. When a laser critical strikes, it deals 33% true damage. |
3 Cost Characters

Fires 3 flames at a target, each dealing 85/130/200 magic damage. Every 3rd cast fires 9 flames, spreading to the target and up to 2 nearby enemies. If there are enemies nearby, it will dash away. |

Passive: If Draven has an empowered axe in his hand, his next attack will throw that axe. Killing an enemy grants Adoration stacks, which are doubled if Draven or Darius kills an enemy. For every 11 Adoration stacks, grant 1/3/5 gold. Active: Spins an empowered axe that replaces his basic attacks, dealing 150/225/375 physical damage and returning to Draven after striking an enemy. |

Places 3 barrels at the nearest enemy and they explode, dealing 200/300/475 damage, reduced by 20% for each barrel connected. The barrels reduce the target's armor by 10, increasing to 30 if the damage is a critical strike. |

Dash around the target and slash 6 times, dealing 45/68/105 magic damage to the target and 20/30/50 damage to all other enemies in a cone. Unit Unlock: Collect 20 Shadow Isles Souls. |

Passive: After 18/18/16 attacks, transform into Fishbones. While equipped, the attack is replaced with 3 rockets that target a random target and deal 42/63/109 physical damage. |

Gain a 600/700/900 shield and summon a lightning storm. 6 bolts of lightning will charge at enemies, dealing 120/180/290 magic damage over 3 seconds. The first 3 targets hit by the 3 bolts are stunned for 1.5 seconds. If the same enemy is stunned multiple times, the effect is only 50% effective. Unit Unlock: Have a total of 8 star units of the Ionian, Yordle, or Defender races on the field. |

Passive: Yumi joins forces with your strongest Kobuko. Every 3 seconds, she alternates between healing the ally with the lowest health for 140/180/240 Health or increasing the ally's attack speed by 25/33/50% for 4 seconds. 2 Cost Characters

Starts with an equipped Infernum. When casting the skill, it changes to Severum, dealing 8 hits. Infernum: Attacks 3 enemies and deals 30% Sunder damage for 6 seconds.
