The Kingshot Master Academy unlocks permanent account-wide bonuses through Royal Masters like Valora and Pan. F2P players should prioritize Valora‘s Weapon Obsession for extra forge hammers, then fully invest in Pan’s daily resource skills before saving emblems and manuscripts for KvK.
The Master Academy has arrived in Kingshot, and it’s one of the biggest progression systems ever added to the game. Whether you’re a free-to-play grinder or a rally-joining specialist, this guide will walk you through everything you need to know — from unlocking the system and spending your daily resources to prioritizing the right Masters and skills for maximum efficiency.
Let’s dive in.

The Master Academy is a permanent, account-wide progression system— not a limited-time event. You recruit legendary characters called Royal Masters, send them on Badlands Journeys(also referred to in-game as Realm Journeys and Lostlands Journeys), and invest resources into their growth to unlock permanent bonuses that stack across your entire account.
Think of it as a blend of the Pet System,Hero Advancement, and Academy Research— all rolled into one long-term progression loop. The bonuses you unlock never disappear, making this one of the most important systems for your account’s long-term power and daily resource income.
Two conditions must be met before the Master Academy becomes available:
Generation 3 heroes typically unlock sometime between server days 101 and 114, depending on your kingdom’s progression calendar. Most active players at Town Center 25 will unlock both conditions simultaneously — farm accounts are the main exception.
Here’s an important detail: The Master Academy building itself doesn’t unlock immediately. It only appears after your first Master settles in your Town, which happens when that Master’s Affinity reaches 1,000. The first Master to settle is always Valora, the Hunting Master.
The Master Academy revolves around sending your Masters on Journeys into the Badlands. There are two main modes, and understanding the difference is critical for efficient progression.
When you first unlock the system, you start in Realm Journey mode. This is where you’ll spend most of your early-game Master Academy stamina. Realm Journeys cost Journey Supplies, which regenerate for free on a fixed daily schedule:
|
Time (UTC) |
Supplies Received |
|---|---|

00:00 UTC |
+20 |
|
08:00 UTC |
+10 |
|
16:00 UTC |

|
Total |
40 per day |
You can also purchase up to 4 additional batches of 5 Journey Supplies per day at 1,000 gems each— giving you a maximum of 60 total supplies daily if you buy them all.
Critical tip: Journey Supplies are capped (likely at 100). Do not let them overflow — any supplies above the cap are permanently lost. Log in at least once daily to spend them.
Realm Journeys feature two types of encounters:
After completing 50 Realm Journeys, Auto Journey unlocks — allowing the game to run encounters automatically while you stay on the screen.
After completing 60 Realm Journey encounters, Lostlands Journey unlocks. This mode works almost identically but with two key differences:
Adventure Supplies have no cap.You can stockpile them indefinitely. Save them for when you have a clear target — a specific Master you want to unlock or a skill threshold you’re trying to reach. When Lostlands first unlocks, the game automatically grants you 10 Adventure Supplies to get started.

Multi-instance + Sync: Create multiple instance and execute the same operation simultaneously, upgrade your kingdom quickly
Ultra-Wide Screen: Get a full view of the battlefield and seize the strategic opportunities.
Keyboard Mapping: Constructe buildings, place combat units and release skills more convenient and accurately
Landscape: Widen vertical screen by landscape, with a wider field of view and smoother operation for SLG games.
The Master Academy introduces four distinct resource types. Understanding what each one does — and when to spend it — is the single most important thing you can learn about this system.
Gifts (Raise Mastery Level)
Different rarity tiers all feed the same experience pool (like Hero Gear XP). Use these freely— Gifts do NOT count toward KvK scoring. Holding onto them provides zero benefit.
Master Emblems (Raise Affinity Level)
Required every 10 Mastery levels to advance your Affinity tier and unlock the next 10 levels. General Master Emblems can be converted into Master-specific ones (similar to Mythic Hero Shards). Save these for KvK.
Speed-Ups (Reduce Skill Research Time)
Mastery Skill Speed-Ups reduce the research timer before you can upgrade a skill. These count toward KvK scoring— treat them like other event speed-ups.
Master‘s Manuscripts (Advance Skill Level)
Spent after a skill’s research timer completes to actually upgrade the skill. In KvK scoring, 100 Manuscripts ≈ 1 Master Emblem in point value. Save these for KvK.
Each Master has five distinct progression layers:
Mastery Level
Raised by spending Gifts. Every 10 levels, you hit an Affinity threshold that requires Emblems to break through and unlock the next 10 levels. Each advancement gives a passive stat bonus.
Affinity Level
Your relationship stage with a Master. Affinity has 100 levels across 11 stages, from “Stranger” all the way to “Kindred Soul.” Each stage reached enhances the effect of that Master’s Expertise skill.
You gain Affinity primarily through Journeys, but you can also increase it by sending specific items directly to your Master:
When a Master’s Affinity reaches 1,000, they settle permanently in your Town, and the Master Academy building unlocks.
Expertise Ability
Each Master has one central passive that activates automatically as soon as the Master is unlocked — no manual action required. Its level increases automatically as the Master advances through Affinity stages.
The Four Skills
Each Master has four specialty skills that unlock at progressively higher Affinity levels. Here’s the unique part:
The research timer comes first.Unlike normal Academy research (where you spend resources then wait), skill upgrades work in reverse:
All Masters share a single skill research queue. You can only learn one skill from one Master at a time across your entire roster. Plan carefully — starting a low-priority skill blocks everything else.
Master Research (Endgame)
Once a Master reaches Affinity Level 100 and unlocks the Kindred Spirit stage, a dedicated Master Research screen becomes available. This separate research tree uses Master Emblems to unlock additional stat bonuses beyond the standard skill tree.
There are three initial Masters you can recruit. Each serves a different purpose, and your spending level should dictate who you prioritize.

Valora is built entirely around Bear Hunt. Her Expertise ability, Hunter Instinct, gives up to 30% bonus damage to Bear Hunt at max level.
Valora’s Four Skills:
|
Skill |
Unlock Affinity |
Effect (Max Level) |
Priority |
|---|---|---|---|
|
Dance of the Hunt |
Acquaintance 2 |
+300,000 rally capacity for Bear Hunt rallies you lead |
Low |
|
Leader by Example |
Acquaintance 3 |
+5 Enhancement XP parts per Bear Hunt |
Medium (if XP-bottlenecked) |
|
Weapon Obsession |
Friend 3 |
+5 Forge Hammers per Bear Hunt |
TOP PRIORITY |
|
Savage Advantage |
Friend 1 |
+30,000 personal deployment capacity for Bear Hunt |
Low |
Why Weapon Obsession is the best skill in the system: It completely sidesteps the damage percentage issue. Instead of relying on RNG or marginal damage increases to move up a reward tier, it directly adds Forge Hammers as a guaranteed reward — equivalent to jumping from very low to very high damage tiers without needing to actually hit those damage numbers.
F2P Verdict on Valora: Unlock her, grab Weapon Obsession as fast as possible, then stop. Don‘t over-invest. The extra rally capacity and deployment capacity skills sound good on paper but deliver disappointing returns due to how the damage formula works (troop count’s impact on damage follows a square root function).

Pan is a support specialist who improves your kingdom‘s daily resource income across multiple vectors. For F2P and low-spender players, he is the most valuable Master in the game.
Pan’s Four Skills:
|
Skill |
Effect (Max Level) |
Priority |
|---|---|---|
|
Efficient Reserves |
Gain chests from gathering (1 chest per 120 min of gathering, up to 5 chests per cycle, 30 daily cap) — chests contain True Gold, Gems, and Hero XP |
TOP PRIORITY |
|
Falconer |
Additional Watchtower Intel missions per day (more True Gold and Hero Shards) |
TOP PRIORITY |
|
Ways and Means |
Additional Mystery Badges + free Mystery Store refreshes per day (more Widgets and discounted items) |
HIGH (especially F2P) |
|
Extra Stamina |
Increases Governor Stamina (effectively doubled since you collect twice daily) |
Medium |
|
Master Architect |
Reduces construction time on new buildings (up to 8 hours) |
Low |
Why Pan is the F2P King:His skills generatecompounding daily income— True Gold from chests, more True Gold from extra Intel missions, and more Widget chances from Mystery Store refreshes. For a free-to-play player, these are the bottlenecks that normally take months to overcome.

Roman is the third Master you can encounter. His entire kit revolves around Arena performance, Arena Tokens, and the Arena Shop.
Roman’s Skills:
Roman‘s Talent, Star Belligerent, adds Arena Star Chests after each match — these can drop Mythic General Hero Shards, Forge Hammers, Enhancement XP parts, and Speed-Ups.
F2P Verdict on Roman: Prioritize last. As a free-to-play player, you won’t rank high enough in Arena to accumulate enough tokens to make his discount skills worthwhile. Focus on Pan first, then Valora, then Roman.
Based on extensive community testing and Discord discussions, here is the optimal F2P progression path for the Master Academy:
Phase 1 – Daily Habits (Start Immediately)
Phase 2 – Unlock Valora‘s Key Skill
Phase 3 – Hard Focus Pan (The F2P Carry)
Phase 4 – Return to Valora (Optional)
Phase 5 – Roman (Only If Arena Is Your Focus)
Based on how these items are scored in Alliance Brawl and State of Power events:
|

No |
Spend freely— same as Pet Food |

One important caveat: Holding everything forever isn’t optimal. Early access to key abilities — particularly Valora‘s Weapon Obsession and Pan’s Efficient Reserves — generates enough daily income over a month that you‘ll likely earn those KvK points back anyway. Unlock your priority skills first, thenshift into full save mode.
Master Academy Daily Gem Purchases
Inside the Master Academy, you can buy5 Journey Supplies for 1,000 gems, up to 4 times daily. Early on, when you have clear line of sight to Weapon Obsession or Efficient Reserves, this is one of the best gem spends in the game. Once key skills are unlocked, this becomes lower priority.
VIP Store (VIP Level 9+)
VIP 9 players can purchaseAdventure Supplies— up to 10 purchases per week at 750 gems each. Worth it if you‘re actively pushing toward a high-value skill unlock; less so once priorities are cleared.
Alliance Championship Shop
If you have unused Alliance Championship points, 15 General Master Emblems for 22,000 points is a reasonable purchase — especially if Emblems are your current bottleneck. Only buy Manuscripts if they’re directly blocking a needed upgrade.
When does the Master Academy unlock?
When your kingdom reaches Generation 3 heroes (server days ~101-114) AND your Town Center is level 25.
Who is the first Master I‘ll unlock?
Valora, the Hunting Master.Always. She settles in your Town when her Affinity reaches 1,000.
What’s the difference between Realm Journey and Lostlands Journey?
Realm Journey uses Journey Supplies (capped, regenerates daily). Lostlands Journey uses Adventure Supplies (no cap, stockpiled) and lets you choose which Master to target.
Can I upgrade skills on multiple Masters at once?
No.All Masters share a single skill research queue. One skill at a time across your entire roster.
Should I buy Journey Supplies with gems?
Early on —yes, if you‘re racing toward Weapon Obsession or Efficient Reserves. Later — no, save gems for other priorities.
What’s the most important F2P skill in the entire system?
Pan‘s Efficient Reserves.Daily True Gold from gathering is invaluable for F2P players who otherwise struggle to keep up with True Gold costs for T10 troops and higher.
The Master Academy is a permanent power system that rewards consistent daily engagement. For F2P and low-spender players, the path is clear.
The gap between players who understand this system and those who ignore it will grow significantly over time — similar to how Academy Research quietly separates accounts over months. Start your Journeys today, and your future self will thank you.
