There is nothing inappropriate in this game, including the evil creatures Zomblins which are supposed to be seen as very dramatic and must throw evil vibes. But the choice of colors and animations of each of them, wandering onto the map uninterrupted, gives a very harmless vibe to the audience, and lastly, they do not trigger the mind of kids. It is purely out of imagination and appropriates for the kids.

Gameplay

Merge Dragons offers very soothing gameplay for all ages, especially for its target audience (3+). Merge Dragons has an option to use 'Child Mode' to protect the kids from making any real-cash purchases through the game. The game has a purchase capacity of Rs 40.00- Rs 5,900.00 per item. Therefore, the parents can enable Child Mode to prevent spending any penny recklessly. Also, you can add your friends through social media and play with your friends, chat with them, share magical artifacts with each other, and win multiple in-game rewards.

Controls

The game 'Merge Dragons' controls are very smooth and easy. Due to the digital age and keeping the target audience of 3 years old and above, the gaming studios decided not to keep the controls very complicated, and that they decided to let the use of touch screens take the stage. 

For instance, if the dragon has received his energy and still isn't harvesting the plants for fruits or life orbs, you touch and choose the dragon you want and can drag them towards any plant you need to be harvested. There are arrows to scroll through the home page to travel to the latest mission or the camp. But if you want, you can scroll with your fingers; it will be more effective and time-consuming. 

For the rest, choosing the chest, stars, or the gold coins to collect can all be done only by a touch. It can be operated on any smartphone with touch screen ability, which makes it easier for the kids to play the game with ease to enjoy the quests and daily challenges that the game has to offer. The biggest asset about this game is that it can be played without an internet connection.

The Soundtrack of the game is very kid-friendly. The game opens with a very adventurous theme, making the gamer's mind feel ready to accomplish any quest thrown at them. The game provides a reactive sound for every touch, which makes the game very interactive. 

All the characters in the game react to the interactive touch by the gamers, and not only the characters, the magical creatures, dragon eggs, plants whenever they merge or produce life orbs, whenever a mission is accomplished, or any new mission is updated, it gives a particular sound which makes it very unique.

Drawbacks

The drawbacks which I felt was adding real-world money purchases into the game. This game is supposed to be for kids of age 3+, some of whom have no idea about the concept of real money purchases existing in a mobile game. Merge Dragons comes with a concept of Child Mode, which prevents that from happening but not every family has the idea about that option. Therefore, keeping in-game purchases that range from Rs 40.00 to Rs 5,900.00 will give bad marketing to the game as kids might make real purchases behind their parents' back.

Besides that, like every game, it also consists of bugs which makes the player get stuck in one mission. And it may take forever to win that mission, which may lead to the end of the gamer's patience leading up to the uninstallation of the game.

Suggestions

So, instead of marketing about the existence of that option, I suggest keeping the game completely free of cost. The game already has over 10 million downloads and over 1 million ratings and reviews which is sufficient to earn money. Other than that, the game also has a lot of bugs where the gamers get stuck in the same mission, unable to surpass it. 

The app promises to evolve the dragon characters, which doesn't happen soon. I suggest improving the company's Client Relationship Management (CRM) and interacting more often with the audience to understand the problems the gamer is facing while playing the game. It seems to be an unimportant method to fix the game, but it can prove itself to be a deal-breaking strategy in the long run.

Conclusion

Overall, Merge Dragons is a very good interactive platform that provides a stage for the kids to connect with their friends and play together, chat with each other, and help each other win. There are some drawbacks on which the game developers need to work on, but nothing is perfect in this world. It is a very kid-friendly game with amazing characters and in-game rewards, which makes the gamers hooked. 

There are areas that I mentioned above where the game developers need to work upon. Other than that, the endless quests, missions, and intriguing puzzles are a very interesting way to practice the brain daily and on which the gamers will get rewards also. 

As I said above, the biggest asset of this game is that it can be played without an internet connection which is a very simple but biggest money-making strategy any game developer can provide to the audience. The kids will enjoy downloading and playing this game for years to come, keeping in mind the regular updates and fixing the bugs regularly.
