Do you want your child to play with developmental games while being safe in the digital space? Would you like to try an interactive, routable tale? In addition to development, would you set limits on your child's digital activity (eg by setting a time limit)?Alfi is an application package developed by Hungarian research psychologists, biologists and IT specialists at the Alpha Generation Laboratory of ELTE (www.alfageneracio.hu). Our goal is for children who use tablets or mobile phones to come up with age-appropriate, child-friendly content that develops their cognitive and problem-solving skills, as well as encouraging them to engage in social interactions. In addition, we want to help parents maintain a healthy amount of screen time and avoid related conflicts.
ALFI
- guides the child in the right direction with sounds and emotional expressions - e.g. when the “screen time limit” set by the parent is reached, it will be tired and then fall asleep
- offers games to the child that develop logical, emotional, memory and spatial skills and creativity
- indicates the time of the evening tale at a pre-set time and offers the tale The Secret of the Blue Door, in which the child and the parent can decide for themselves the story during the exciting zoo adventures, while the child can learn a lot about the animals
- set as the start app, Alfi filters out what apps your child can see and use. The parent can choose which of the installed applications to display Alfi. In this, researchers help the parent with recommendations.
The application is in Hungarian and free of advertisements. It is mainly recommended for children aged 4-8.
