In Arknights, farming upgrade materials is notoriously challenging because their sources are highly scattered across different chapters and event stages. What to Spend Sanity
There are so many upgrade materials in Arknights, making you feel confused. Don't worry. We provide some tips for you to learn what to spend sanity.
1. High Average Sanity Consumption
Usually, high-rarity materials require using more sanity to be acquired. So, you can try to synthesize these materials with common materials in workshop. You can spend less sanity in average.
2. Farming Stages Based on Time Span
If you want to get upgrade materials immediately, you can specialize in stages with lowest Sanity regardless of drop rates. If you lack a series of materials or want to accumulate them, you should formulate a long-term strategy which focuses on overall pay-back. Therefore, you will take the advantage of stages like 1-7, 9-4 or 11-13. Furthermore, you ought to prioritize stages where have both blue and purple materials in long-term farming. Chances are you will take over 3 days to farm materials.
3. Material Allocation
You can obtain Polyester Lump and Sugar Lump via diverse ways. Don't waste time on farming them, while there are not new operators or emergencies. Go to event shop to buy them and gather base workshop byproducts.
Materials with white background always demand less in game, hence, farming blue and purple materials is the best choice unless they are urgently needed.
4. Daily Grind
When you have spare time or need various materials, you can go to stages with multiple materials. Although their drop rates are lower than the specific stage, you should calculate overall sanity, kinds of materials and byproducts, enabling you to farming with efficienciy. Actually, you need to exploit you Sanity. For instances, stage 6-11 indicates 49% drop rate and stage GT-5 offers 44% drop rates, however, they need 21 and 15 Sanity respectively.
5. Farming Event Stage
The drop difference between main story and Challenge Mode is not very large. In event stages, once you enter Interlude, the drop rate will be lowered! The stage will no longer drop only blue materials, but will mix in other materials.
As for story collection event which can get rewards from main storyline, the material drops resemble the main story. You can directly farm other materials in main story. For example, you are able to farm Orirocks in stage 1-7, while the event stage provides sparse Orirocks. For Crystalline Components likewise go back to the mainline stage R8-11 for higher yield.
6. Shorten The Duration of Combat
You can put an Operator as a sub-assistant to raise Trust in the base infrastructure. At night you can also sort Operators by Trust and put them into the Dormitory to raise Trust. The maximum Trust bonus are achieved at 100% (The maximum Trust is 200%). Taking Amiya as example, she would gain +200 HP/+70 ATK at 100% Trust, gain +40 HP/+14 ATK at 20% and +100 HP/+35 ATK at 50%.
Note: Raising the Operator's Trust to 200% allows you to use him as Support Unit and apply bonus effect to him.
