Chaos Zero Nightmare Arabella Build Guide: Best Cards, Partners & Team Comps

pp-jone
|2026-07-31

Arabella is an upcoming five-star Instinct Striker in Chaos Zero Nightmare and the leader of the Black Spica mercenary group. She fights with a flexible sword that behaves like a sword-whip, matching her aggressive damage-focused role. Her gameplay is built around Fracture, the new damage-over-time mechanic shared by the Season 4 combatants.

Arabella’s full starting cards, Epiphany options, Potential effects and Manifest Ego upgrades have not yet been released. This means specific card names and final deck lists cannot be confirmed. Players preparing for her should instead focus on the mechanics her team needs: Fracture generation, multiple debuffs, efficient card draw and a safe damage window.

Arabella is scheduled for Season 4 Phase 2. The first phase features Hilde from July 29 to August 19, while Arabella follows later in the season. She is also classified as a seasonal Combatant rather than a standard permanent addition.

How Fracture Works

Fracture deals damage at the end of the turn. Each stack deals 40% damage, after which the number of stacks is reduced by half. The effect can reach a maximum of 30 stacks. Hilde, Arabella and Olga are all designed to interact with this mechanic.

Best strategy

Apply many stacks before triggering

Arabella should be treated as the main damage dealer who converts a prepared Fracture setup into a stronger burst. Her teammates should apply Fracture and other harmful effects before she commits her important Attack Cards.

Best Cards for Arabella

Arabella’s personal cards have not been fully revealed, so the safest current choices come from Hilde’s confirmed Fracture setup cards.

Main Use

Quiver Reload II

Quiver Reload II

Creates three Homing Arrow (Fracture) cards

Applies Fracture, deals AoE damage and draws a card

Draw & Release II

Draw & Release II

Makes Hilde’s next three Extra Attacks apply Fracture

Plasma Rain III

Applies Ionization and can add Fracture after defeating an enemy

Draw & Release IV

Draw & Release IV

Draws Lead cards and lowers their AP cost

The strongest setup is Draw & Release II → Quiver Reload II → Homing Arrow (Fracture). This sequence quickly adds Fracture without using much AP, allowing Arabella to spend the remaining actions on her main damage cards.

Plasma Rain III is more useful in multi-enemy stages, while Draw & Release IV helps when the team needs extra draw or AP efficiency. Until Arabella’s full card list is available, Quiver Reload II and Draw & Release II should be the main priorities.

Best Partner for Arabella

Arabella is expected to appear alongside Licinia, who is currently listed as her signature Partner. Licinia’s complete passive and Ego Skill have not yet been published, so exact comparisons with existing Striker Partners are not possible.

Before Licinia’s full effects are available, prioritize a Striker Partner that provides:

Attack;

general Damage Amount;

Attack Card damage;

extra damage against debuffed targets;

AP, draw or useful Ego Skill support.

Partners in Chaos Zero Nightmare function as character equipment, providing stats, a class-locked passive and an Ego Skill. Only Striker-compatible Partners can be assigned to Arabella.

Avoid heavily investing in a temporary Partner based only on rarity. A lower-rarity option with unconditional Attack or Damage Amount can be more useful than a five-star Partner whose passive requires an unrelated card tag.

Defensive support

Shield, healing or enemy control

Hilde is Arabella’s clearest early partner. She creates and draws Homing Arrow cards, applies Fracture and builds Ionization on attacked enemies. Ionization raises the damage enemies receive, giving Arabella a better target for her finishing turn.

The third slot should protect the team. Arabella and Hilde already cover damage and setup, so another pure DPS usually offers less value than healing, shielding or control.

Additional Fracture and DoT support

Hilde, Arabella and Olga all share the Instinct attribute and are designed around Fracture. This is the most obvious complete Season 4 core, although Olga’s final card list must be evaluated after her release.

The main weakness of this lineup may be survivability. In difficult stages, replace one seasonal character with a dedicated defensive unit if the team cannot survive long enough to build Fracture.

Flexible Arabella Team

Arabella can also run with Hilde and any reliable Controller or Vanguard. This sacrifices some Fracture stacking speed but gives the team more freedom to handle bosses with heavy damage, status effects or strict survival checks.

Best Stat and Gear Priorities

Arabella’s exact Memory Fragment sets and equipment cannot be finalized before her multipliers are released. The safest early priority is:

Attack > Damage Amount > Critical stats or DoT-related bonuses > survivability

Card draw and AP efficiency should be handled mainly through the deck and teammates. Avoid farming a specialized Critical or multi-hit set until her cards confirm that she benefits from those mechanics.

Final Build Advice

Arabella should be built as a focused Fracture finisher rather than a standalone attacker. Pair her with Hilde, keep the deck compact and apply several harmful effects before using her key damage cards. Save Fracture activation for a meaningful stack count, then rebuild the effect after it is halved.

Her signature Partner, exact Epiphanies and final equipment sets will determine the finished build. Until those details are released, prepare Instinct growth materials and a strong Hilde deck instead of committing resources to speculative cards or Partners.
